About Heracles Records
Why it exists
Heracles Records began as a fork of CorosLink, a desktop companion for COROS watches. As my own training grew, what I wanted from it changed: a full record of everything I had done, analytics deeper than a summary screen, and an AI coach that reads all of it. A complete training system rather than a set of tools. So I rebuilt the app around that.
If you are looking for music and media on your watch, offline maps and routes, watch faces or gear tracking, CorosLink does those well and is the app to use. They are not part of Heracles Records.
The name
Heracles was given twelve labours, each one impossible until it was done. Training is the same kind of work: a long run that once looked out of reach becomes an ordinary Sunday. The app keeps every session as a record of that work, and its Hall of Records names twelve kinds of achievement after the labours. Meet the Twelve Labours.
How it is made
- Open source. The whole app is on GitHub under the MIT license. Heracles Records is based on CorosLink by AtoZ, also MIT, and credits every other piece of software and font it ships in its third-party notices.
- Local first. No account, no server. Your training stays on your computer, and the services you connect are the only places it goes.
- Independent. Heracles Records is not made, endorsed or supported by COROS. COROS is a trademark of COROS Wearables, Inc., and appears here only to say which watches and accounts the app works with.
