Is Heracles Records made by COROS?
No. It is an independent app, not made, endorsed or supported by COROS. It reads your training through your own COROS account, the same way the COROS Training Hub website does.
Which watches does it work with?
Any COROS watch that syncs to your COROS account: PACE, APEX, VERTIX, NOMAD and the rest. The app never connects to the watch itself.
What does it cost?
The app is free and open source, under the MIT license. Coach runs on an AI you choose: your ChatGPT or Claude plan, a pay-as-you-go API key, or a free model on your own computer.
Can I use it without Coach?
Yes. Every screen but Coach works without an AI.
Where is my data?
On your computer. The app has no account of its own and its developer runs no servers, so nothing reaches the developer. What Coach needs to answer a question goes to the AI you picked. If you sync two computers, your data goes through your own Google Drive. The privacy policy has the details.
Does Coach change my calendar or plans on its own?
No. Workouts, plans and calendar changes it proposes wait on a button you press. Automatic analyses can only read.
Does it work offline?
Partly. What the app has already read stays readable, and sessions you have opened open again without a network. New activities, plans and Coach need the internet.
Do I need a phone?
No. Heracles Records is a desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux. Your watch keeps syncing through the COROS phone app as usual.
Is there music, maps or watch faces?
No. Heracles Records grew out of CorosLink, which does music and media, offline maps and routes, watch faces and gear tracking. Heracles Records is about your training records, analytics and coaching instead.
How do I get updates?
The app tells you when a new version is out. The changelog lists what changed.
