Back up and restore
A backup is one file, kept wherever you like: a USB stick, another cloud, an email to yourself. It is separate from Sync and works without it.
Save a backup
Open Settings → Backup & Restore and press Save backup…. Choose where the file goes. You need to be signed in to COROS, because a backup belongs to the account that made it.
Restore
Press Restore… and pick the file. If this computer already holds data, the app asks how to restore:
- Replace: the backup decides everything, and what is here now is replaced.
- Merge: the backup adds what is missing, and nothing here is removed.
A backup from another COROS account is refused unless you confirm it a second time. If Sync is on, the restored data goes out to your other computers too.
What a backup holds
The same things Sync carries: conversations, plans, drafts and preferences. Passwords, keys and sign-ins are never in it. Your activities are not either; they come from COROS.
